Moon & Associates, Inc. was established in 2005. We have a dedicated staff of engineers with a wealth of experience in structural design, civil design, code consulting and permit expediting. Our design experience includes custom homes, hillside developments, multi-family buildings, and commercial projects. Our code consulting experience has been built from working at the City of Los Angeles and City of Beverly Hills Building Departments where we acquired an intimate knowledge of the city’s processes and requirements to help our clients efficiently navigate through the entire permitting process.

As the principal of Moon & Associates, Inc. with 20 years of public service experience at the City of Los Angeles and City of Beverly Hills Building Departments, I have a developed a clear understanding of what the city agencies are looking for during the plan check and permitting process. That experience helps me to see the project in its entirety and allows me to navigate through the often convoluted series of city requirements by taking preemptive actions to most effectively navigate through the city requirements. Some of these unique conditions include the balancing of the grading quantity, haul route hearing proceedings, LID compliance options, slope stability concern, the city’s recent mansionization restrictions, and BHO (Baseline Hillside Ordinance).

For the past 13 years, Moon & Associates, Inc. has worked closely with owners, developers, and architects to coordinate hundreds of code complying projects in an expeditious manner despite the complex site conditions that often exist.
